The Matrix of the Mind
- High Arcana number 1
- Equivalent contemporary Tarot card : The Magician
- Interpretation : The Matrix of the Mind is a representation of the unmoving or still consciousness. Every possibility, probability, consideration or otherwise conceivable conceptuality is contained within the Matrix. It is the first card in the series of "Mental" Tier of the ancient Tarot. It can often be seen as ego boosting but should not be considered egoic in and of itself (albeit a sign for mindful awareness thereof)
- Symbology : The Matrix includes (at first glance) the Pharoh, The Bird and Cage, the Sphere, the Star in the distance and the ornate frame which is also no coincidence.
- Pharoh - Ruling, vocal, in charge, regal, decisions, commanding, power, quantum possibilities.
- The Bird and Cage - notions of the mind contained with a potential to be let free. Indicative that a thought (bird) is not within the Pharoh, nor should be considered "his" but rather "temporarily in his possession" and his "responsibility" to cage (keep caged) or let free.
- Sphere - Representing the all of everything, the sphere is able to be used or sourced by the Matrix whence respectively desired or valuable. The all of everything which can conceptually be broken down in the suits of the Tarot, our Wands, Swords, Pentacles, and Cups.
- Feathers - A reminder that even the "heavier" may be "taken lightly" - see Egyptian symbology for more "feather related" notions
- Star - Guidance from afar (that is yet somehow local to the Matrix itself)
